Instructions
1. Show the children how to stuff shoeboxes with newspaper.
2. Help the children use masking or clear packing tape to tape the lids securely
on the boxes.
3. Add these hand-made blocks to the block area. They are great for building
walls and tall structures.
4. If desired, children may decorate the blocks with stickers or color them with
markers.
More to do Math: Use the new blocks to measure the children. Make a graph that shows
how many blocks tall each child is.
More Math: Line up the blocks end-to-end and measure how long the line is.
Stack the blocks as high and possible and count now many blocks there are.
