What to do
1. Encourage the children to imagine the variety of creatures that might live in outer space.
2. Invite the children to create a creature from the materials provided. Suggest to the children that
they begin with a Styrofoam block or tray and attach the decorations using toothpicks or popsicle
sticks and glue.
More to do
Language: Have the children create a story about their alien and record their words on tape; play
the stories at circle time and ask the children to guess whose voice is on the tape. Afterward, send
