Instructions
1. Invite a nutritionist or dietitian to visit the classroom.
2. At Circle Time, the nutritionist can talk to the children about healthy foods
and why it is important to eat them.
3. Show the children various food posters, such as the Food Pyramid.
4. Make or purchase food cards. Hold them up, one at a time, and ask if it is a
healthy food, or one that should be eaten in moderation.
5. Make popcorn, sandwiches with a healthy filling, or cereal cookies.
