Instructions

On four separate sheets of card stock, write "My Favorite (Season's Name)
Words."
l Laminate the posters.
What To Do
1. Talk with the children about the four seasons. Ask the children to
think of things that remind them of the seasons.
2. Show the children the different seasonal posters and the various
seasonal images.
3. Invite the children to match the seasonal images to the correct
season posters. Help the children to attach the images to the
posters.
4. Ask the children to name the items they are putting on the poster. The
children can use a washable felt-tip marker to write the names of the objects
beside their images.
5. Leave out the poster for the current season, and let the children add images to
it over time.
6. Change the poster when the season changes. Consider
leaving the two posters up and having the children
compare the similarities and differences between
them.
Assessment
To assess the children's learning, consider the following:
l Can the children identify objects that relate to a specific season?
l Can the children describe the similarities and differences
between two seasons?
