Instructions

* Do this activity to celebrate the 100th Day of School.
1. Give each child a plastic plate. Show the children how to make 10 rows
of 10 thumbprints in each color of paint (10 green, 10 blue, and so on).
2. Use the prints to count by tens to 100.
3. After the thumbprints are dry, let the children cut around the prints and
glue them to paper.
More to do Art: If available, show the children Georges Seurat's pointillism paintings,
explaining how the small dots accumulate into a whole image. Encourage
the children to experiment with using thumbprints like Seurat's dots.
