Instructions

1. In the outside play area, have everyone hold hands and walk forward 100
steps. Talk about why some children went farther than others, even
though everyone took 100 steps.
2. Count to 100 with movement, changing the actions every time you
reach ten. For example, clap hands (1-10); stomp feet (10-20); clap over
head (20-30); move arms like wings (30-40); hop (40-50); touch head (50-
60); stand up, sit down (60-70); tap knees (70-80); march (80-90); and
jump up and down (90-100).
