Roll of paper from calculator marker small prizes

Instructions

1. Each day add a number to the roll of paper to indicate how many days the children have been in school.

2. Whenever you reach a number that ends in zero, the children get a visit from "Zero the Hero" (this can be a puppet). Use the puppet to give each child a small prize.

3. The prizes can be simple things such as stickers, coins, and small trinkets. It is nice if the prizes can correspond to the season, a particular activity, or classroom theme.

4. Children enjoy counting and looking forward to special days.Tip: On the 100th day of school, have a special party. Ask the children to bring in 100 of an item to share with classmates (for example, pennies, paperclips, marbles, cards, and so on).
