What to do
1. Do this activity on a day with dramatic weather windy, rainy, stormy, or snowy.
2. Explain to children that they will have fun watching the weather and creating an art project at the same time.
3. Tape a large sheet of clear contact paper across the largest window to which children have access. Make sure that the sticky side will face the children.
4. Provide collage materials. If desired, have the children cut out collage materials themselves.
5. Peel the backing from the contact paper. Invite the children to stick on the collage materials.
6. Admire the art and the weather simultaneously!
7. Let children take home sections of the mural at the end of the day.
