Materials
- assorted clothing and accessories for rainy weather (rain boots, rain coat,
- umbrella, sweatshirt, thick socks)
- assorted clothing and accessories for sunny summer weather (T-shirt,
- shorts, sun visor, sunscreen, sandals)
- beach towel
- blanket
What to do
1. Spread the beach towel and the blanket next to each other on the floor.
2. Ask the children when they would use a beach towel and when they would use a blanket.
3. Hold up an umbrella. Ask whether it would go with the beach towel or blanket. Put the item on the blanket.
4. Continue to sort the rest of the rainy day and sunny day items on the towel or blanket.
5. If desired, add snow clothing and accessories as a third category. Put them on a thick comforter.
More to do Music: Have a child select an item. The rest of the children sing the child's name, the item, and the weather condition.
