Materials

Small mirror

Instructions

  1. Let each child take a turn holding a small mirror close to his lips.
  2. Have each child open his mouth as wide as he can and blow out.
  3. A foggy spot will form on the mirror.
  4. Touch the spot.
  5. The spot is liquid water.
  6. Explain to the children that water vapor is in your body and when you blow out, the water vapor in your breath hits the cold mirror. The water condenses and changes into liquid water and forms the spot on the mirror.
