Materials

cardboard

bottom half of plastic bottles (such as Gatorade)

glue

floss or yarn

toothbrush and toothpaste

dentures

Instructions

1. Prepare the desired number of tagboard
rectangles with center lines to resemble
dominoes.
2. Apply self-adhesive insect stickers or glue
insect pictures on each end of the
dominoes.
3. Have the children use these dominoes to
play the traditional game of dominoes or create their own
games by matching identical insects on the dominoes.

* Laminate the dominoes for durability.

Consider the following:
* Do the children show an increase in their ability to use one-to-one
correspondence in matching identical insects?
* Do children display increased control of the small muscles in their hands, and
improved eye-hand coordination?

other children?
