Instructions
1. A few weeks before Valentine's Day help the children decorate the baby food jars by gluing on pink and red construction paper hearts.
2. Allow each child to place soil in the bottom of his jar and plant a bean sprout.
3. For the next two weeks help the children water and observe the sprouts, measuring the plants' growth with a Valentine's Day measuring chart.
4. Right before Valentine's Day decorate the vine with cut out paper hearts and allow the children to take them home for someone special.
