take-out cartons from a Chinese restaurant (or milk cartons)

Valentine-related stickers

construction paper (optional)

Instructions

* Valentine's Day is February 14th.
1. Give each child a take-out carton from a Chinese restaurant. If you do not
have access to these containers, you can use milk cartons. (Take-out
cartons are preferable because they don't need covering and children
love the little handles.)
2. Help the children write their names on their containers and encourage
them to decorate their containers with various Valentine-related stickers.
3. Children can cut out construction paper hearts to glue to their boxes, if
desired.
4. Place any extra boxes in the play area.
