Instructions

1. Ahead of time, set aside a "Fight Cancer" tricycle-a-thon at your school. Explain that the class is going to ride tricycles to raise money to donate for cancer research.

2. Send home envelopes for the children to obtain sponsors.

3. On the designated day, ask each child to bring a picture from home of anyone they know who has or had cancer. If they do not know anyone personally, they can bring in a photo of someone famous with cancer or who survived cancer.

4. Make copies of the photos and line them up in the tricycle area.

5. Have the children ride the specified amount of laps to raise money.

6. Take the children with you to donate the funds you raised, or let them help you send the donations to the organization you chose to support.
