What to do

1. Suggest ways for the children to move to a new location, such as:

  • Pretend you are rabbits and quietly hop to the door.
  • Pretend you are a train moving in a straight line.
  • Pretend you are mice that no one can see or hear.
  • Walk slowly and softly like a kitten.
  • Flitter and float like a butterfly.

Instructions

1. Sing the following song to the tune of "Jimmy Crack Corn."
2. Sing it at the beginning of Circle Time. Sing a different child's name with each
line and ask the child stand when her name is sung.
The sun is up. It's time to shine.
