Materials

small pieces of paper or index cards

colored pencils

plastic flowers

tissue paper (to wrap flowers in)

staplers (to secure the tissue paper and notes)

Instructions

1. Beforehand, put a plastic letter inside each plastic egg.
2. Add plastic grass and the letter-filled plastic eggs to the sand and water table.
3. Encourage the children to hunt for eggs!
4. When a child finds an egg, have him open it up and remove the letter inside.
He then crosses off letter on an alphabet sheet.
