Instructions

1. Take a photo of the class getting a drink at the outdoor water fountain.
2. Enlarge the photo to 8 1/2 " x 11" and mount it on cardboard. Laminate it.
3. This activity will help stagger the number of children who go for a drink at
the fountain so they won't all want to go at once.
4. Make this into a job for the children. Each morning let each child choose a
job for the day, one job being "Teacher's Helper."
5. About ten minutes before it is time to go inside, the helper will hold up the
sign and walk around the playground. The child will remind the other
children that it is almost time to go inside and that they should go get a
drink if they would like one.
6. You can also do this activity indoors as a transition to circle time.
