1. This is a good five-minute time filler that also strengthens children’s listening
2. While sitting together on the floor, choose one child to be the first
3. Give him a three-step instruction. As the year progresses, add additional steps
depending on the children’s skills. An example of a four-step instruction:
“Susie, I want you to go get a baby doll. Then I want you to give it to Jose,
and then you can get an orange crayon from the art center, and sit down.”
4. This continues for as long as the children are interested, or until it is time for
the next activity.
