Instructions

What to do
1. Have the children trace the pattern of a teddy bear doll on oak tag or poster board and cut it
out.
2. Give the children watercolors and invite them to color their paper teddy bears.
The children can glue on moveable eyes and pompom nose, and draw on a mouth with
markers.
3. Give the children construction paper and safety scissors; invite them to cut out clothing that
they think will fit their paper teddy bears. They can decorate the clothing any way they like
using crayon, marker, glitter, or paint.
More to do
Dramatic play: Children can use their dolls to act out stories, such as "The Three Bears."
More art: Children can make families of paper teddy bears.
