Instructions

1. Say the following poem with the children and act it out.
A spider has eight legs. (show 8 fingers)
One for creeping, (one finger creeps up child's leg)
One for crawling, (two fingers crawl up child's other leg)
One for spinning, (one finger on left hand spins around two fingers on right hand)
One to stop falling. (left hand catches four falling fingers on right hand)
One for walking, (five fingers walk across child's tummy)
One to help it run, (six fingers run up child's head)
One for tickling, (seven fingers tickle child under the chin)
One for sitting in the sun. (eight fingers rest on child's lap)
