Instructions

* Teddy Bear Day is September 9th.
1. Label four computer-generated or die-cut teddy bears with a different
letter of your choice.
2. Use them to form four columns at the top of the pocket chart with a
header card that has the title "A Teddy Bear Brigade!" and the
instructions: "Place the cards under the correct teddy bears."
3. On tagboard, draw or glue pictures representing the beginning sounds
of each of the four letters on the teddy bears.
4. Using a paper cutter, cut the pictures into cards of the desired size.
5. Laminate the header card and picture cards for durability, and cut out.
6. To use this center, a child identifies a picture's beginning sound and adds
it to the pocket chart under the appropriate teddy bear.
