Instructions

Sidewalk chalk
Poster board and markers
Outdoor riding toys such as tricycles, wagons, and scooters
Small, pocket-sized notebooks and pencils
Police officer hats, badges, or aprons, optional
3. Go outside with the children and set up the playground like a road.
Encourage them to use sidewalk chalk to draw roads.
4. Encourage the children to take turns being the police officers and the drivers
of the vehicles. The police officers can give out "tickets" to traffic offenders.
