Cellophane paper in a variety of colors

Scissors

Glue

Wax paper

Popsicle sticks or craft sticks

Instructions

1. Purchase inexpensive plastic headbands. You can find them in the hair caresection of department stores or drugstores.2. For each headband, first cut a pipe cleaner in half. Then, wrap 1 1/2 " (4 cm) ofthe wire piece securely around the headband, leaving 3 1/2 " (9 cm) sticking up.Repeat with the other half of the pipe cleaner to simulate ear placement.3. Enlarge ear designs onto white paper using thick black lines.4. Give each child a set of ears and encourage them to color them as desired.Encourage them to be creative try spots, stripes, or just bright scribbles!5. Help the children cut out the ears.6. Attach the ears to the headbands by lacing the pipe cleaners in and out throughthe middle of each paper design, fastening them in the back with tape.7.
