Instructions

1. Locate pictures depicting day and night items in old books or
workbooks. For example, daytime items might be sunglasses, a beach
umbrella, sunscreen, and a sun, and nighttime items might be a
flashlight, lamp, the moon, and pajamas.
2. Cut out the pictures and glue each to a separate index card.
3. With one or two children, play a sorting game. Help them sort them into
daytime pictures and nighttime pictures.
4. Back the pictures with felt and use them as a flannel board activity, if
desired.
