Instructions

1. If it is winter time, focus on winter scenes.
To transition the children from
group time to the next activity,
ask one child to tell you a word
describing winter objects,
activities, or events (snow, cold,
snowman, cocoa, mittens, ice skates,
boots, skiing, and so on).
2. After the child has said a winter word,
that child can go to the next activity.
3. Write their words on the easel. Give
children hints as necessary so everyone is
successful.
More to do Fine Motor: Cut the laminated seasonal photos into two to five pieces to make
puzzles. Put each puzzle into a zipper-closure bag and place them on the tables
so children can practice putting them back together.
