Instructions

1. Cut out large shapes from tagboard. Each shape should be a different color and approximately 15" in diameter.2. Cut out matching smaller shapes in the same color, approximately 4" in diameter. Make a few smaller shapes for each large shape. For example, red squares, white circles, blue triangles, yellow diamonds, and so on.3. On each shape write the name of the color on one side and the name of the shape on the other side.4. When it is time for snack, place one of the large shapes at each table.5. Call each child by name, hand her a smaller shape, and ask her to name the color or shape. Ask the children to go to the table with the matching shape.Tip: You can also use the shapes to determine the helpers for the day. For example, whoever has the large square is the cup helper, the large circle is the napkin helper, and so on.
