Instructions

1. In separate areas of the playground, set up beanbags, Frisbees, and a
tumbling mat.
2. Divide the large group into smaller groups and send each to a different
center. An adult should be at each center. Suggested activities are as follows.
* Large play area: Play Follow the Leader.
* Beanbags: Children put the beanbags on their feet, head, and backs of
their hands. Let them take turns choosing which part of their bodies to
balance the beanbags on.
* Frisbees: Children throw Frisbees to each other.
* Tumbling mat: Encourage children to practice somersaults and different
modes of movement such as crawling and the crab walk. Let the children
make up their own movements.
