Instructions

What to do
1. Put sand in several bowls (use as many bowls as you have colors).
2. Invite the children to help you spray the sand until it is slightly damp, and mix the food coloring
thoroughly with the sand. Allow the sand to dry. (Sun or an oven will speed up the drying
process.)
3. When the sand is dry, use the funnel to put it in salt shakers. You can use different shakers for
different colors, or mix up the colored sand in one shaker.
4. Have children dribble a design on paper using the glue, then shake the colored sand on top for
a lovely effect.
