1. Fill the sand and water table or a large sweater box with plastic Easter grass. 2. Add some plastic foods and representations of the foods the caterpillar eats in the book by Eric Carle. 3. Reenact the story using the puppet. Have the puppet search through the plastic grass to find the foods. 4. The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a favorite for three-year-olds.
