Paper plates

Paint aprons

Popsicles in assorted flavors

Glue

Instructions

1. Ask the children to put on their aprons. Give each child a paper plate and a Popsicle in a flavorof their choice.

2. Invite the children to paint a face on their plate with the Popsicle. Encourage them to finishtheir painting before they eat the Popsicle.

3. When the painting is dry, and the Popsicle is gone, glue the stick to the edge of the plate, creatinga mask or a puppet.More to doMore art: Make paper plate puppets and decorate with a variety of fabrics and collage materialsof different textures.Snack: Freeze juices in different flavors, then ask the children to identify the flavor when blindfolded.
