1. Write some of the children's favorite nursery rhymes on large cardstock cards. 2. Put the nursery rhyme cards, rhythm instruments, and tape recorder in the music center. 3. Encourage the children to select a rhyme and explore instruments for accompanying the rhyme when recited. 4. When children agree on the instruments and where and how they will be played, they may record their own musical nursery rhyme composition. 5. Play this for everyone to hear.
