What to do
April is National Poetry Month.
1. Throughout the month of April, set aside the last 10 minutes of class for parents to come in and recite their favorite children's poems.
2. Ask parents to teach simple refrains to the children.
3. At the end of the month, prepare and distribute a handmade book of favorite family poems.
