Instructions

Prepare:
1. Measure 4" (10 cm) up from the bottom of the milk cartons. Mark the 4"
point around the entire carton and cut off what remains above the line.
2. Slide the two cartons together, open ends facing each other, until you have
formed a cube.
3. Glue a different color piece of construction paper to each side of the cube
and cover the entire cube with clear tape.
4. Cut out five lily pad shapes of each color that you put on the cube (30 in all).
Make them large enough for a child's feet to fit on.
5. Put the lily pads in a line on the floor, varying the colors. Leave approximately
1' (30 cm) between each one and zigzag the line. Put clear contact paper
over each lily pad to attach it to the floor.
Play the game:
1. Ask a small group of children to line up at the beginning of the lily pad line.
2. Ask the first child to roll the color cube and leap from lily pad to lily pad until
she comes to the color she rolled.
3. The next child rolls the color cube and does the same thing. The first child
also leaps to the next pad of the color that was just rolled.
4. Continue until everyone has leaped off the end of the line and start again.
