Materials

Empty toilet tissue tubes, one for each child Green tissue paper squares

Glue Scissors

White dot stickers, about 3/4 " (19 mm) in diameter

Instructions

1. Draw an oval shape on one side of the toilet tissue tube, about 1 inch (2.

5 cm) in diameter. Draw it near the center of the tube.

2. Poke a hole with scissors into the oval for a starting point. Let the children finish cutting out the oval. (Pre-cut these for younger children.)3. Roll the tissue paper squares into balls and glue them onto the top half of the tube.

4. On the white circle sticker dots, draw an owl.

5. Place the owl sticker on your pointer fingernail, then stick your finger up into the tube and out of the oval hole. Your owl is now perching in his tree home.

6. Use these puppets while you sing the following song:Little Owl (sing to the tune of "Frere Jacques")Little owl, little owl,In the tree, in the tree.Whoo-oo are you looking for?Whoo-oo are you looking for?Is it me? Is it me?
