Materials

Paper towel tubes, one per child

Pinking shears

Green construction paper

Green paint and paintbrushes

Glue

Googly eyes

Instructions

What to do
1. Before class, shape an alligator's mouth from each tube with pinking shears. Cut out four legs
and one tail for each alligator using the pinking shears.
2. Have the children paint the tube green.
3. When the paint is dry, ask the children to glue the legs, tail, and googly eyes onto the tube.

Movement: Have the children ride a scooter board on their stomach, using their arms and legs to
propel themselves as if they were alligators.
