Materials

Miniature, plastic oviparous animals (alligators, crocodiles, ducks, birds,chicks, snakes, and dinosaurs)Large plastic eggs

Instructions

1. Prior to the activity, place miniature plastic animals into plastic eggs.

2. Explain to the children that oviparous animals are animals that hatch from eggs.

3. Describe one of the animals that is hidden in one of the eggs. Give the children clues such as, "I am an animal that flies," "I have feathers," and so on. Ask the children to guess the animal in the egg.More to doGames: Have an Oviparous Egg Hunt. Place gummy snakes, alligators, and fish into plastic eggs and hide them on the playground. Encourage the children to hunt for the eggs.Sand and Water: Place miniature plastic animals in the plastic eggs and hide them in the sand. Encourage the children to hunt for them.
