What to do

1. Read the following action rhyme and model the motions for the children.

Pit-pat, pit-pat, goes the rain (make small, quick clapping sounds)
As it hits the windowpane.
The gusty wind spins up and down, (spin around)
Blowing dry leaves all around.
With my umbrella open wide (mimic opening umbrella)
I hold on tight and go outside. (step forward to go "outside")

2. Repeat the action rhyme as desired so the children can do the motions again.
