Instructions

1. Using a variety of hole punches and paper, ask the children to punch out
holes.
2. Encourage the children to sort the shapes by color or shape and place them
into small bowls.
3. The children can glue the holes to a piece of paper to create pictures.
More to do
Make cards for special occasions. For example, use heart punches for Valentine's
Day, tree punches for Christmas, and so on. Fold a piece of paper in half and
encourage children to decorate the front of it using the holes. As children dictate
sentiments, write them on the inside of the card.
