Materials

2 cups (500 g) sugar1/2 cup (120 ml) milk1/2 cup (250 g) margarine3 1/2 tablespoons (35 g)cocoa

Hot plate or stove1/2 cup (160 g) peanut butter4 cups (500 g) granola1 cup (125 g) chopped walnuts1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla

Instructions

1. Help the children mix together sugar, milk, margarine, and cocoa in a saucepan.

2. Put the saucepan on a hot plate or stove and bring it to a boil for one minute (adult only).

3. Quickly stir in the peanut butter until it is melted.

4. Add granola, walnuts, and vanilla and mix well.

5. Drop the dough by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper.

6. Allow the cookies to cool before eating. (Makes about four dozen.)
