Instructions

1. Collect and store a large variety of costumes and accessories to use on rainy
days, windy days, smoggy days, or on days when you must be inside and
have extra time to fill.
2. To begin collecting, post a sign for parents to read. List your needs, and be
specific, such as Halloween costumes. Encourage them to donate accessories
too, such as shoes, necklaces, rings, hats, gloves, purses, and so on.
3. Check your school's lost and found box for items as well. (Make sure the
items are unwanted.)
4. Seek out dresses, skirts, shawls, hats of all types, jewelry, play crowns,
wedding veils, flower ringlets, and wands.
5. Keep these on hand and when the weather is bad, bring them out and
encourage children to use their imaginations!
More to do Also use these costumes whenever they coincide with the theme you are
working on. Children love to play dress-up!
