Construction paper in a variety of basic colors walking-tempo music
Instructions
1. Hold up different construction paper colors and ask the children to name the colors.
2. Place the colored papers on the floor with space between each one.
3. Ask the children to walk among the colors without stepping on them as the music is playing.
4. When the music stops, the children sit down by the nearest color.
5. Ask, "Who is sitting next to the color blue?" (or whatever colors you use). Then say, "Please stand up if it is you!"6. Continue the game until you have called out all the different colors.
