Instructions

1. Take a photo of each child showing the child's head and a bit of her
shoulders. Try to make the child's face and hair fill the whole frame. Develop
or print the photographs.
2. Glue each photo to the center of a piece of cardstock paper. Help each child
print her name under her own photo. Place another piece of cardstock over
the child's photo.
3. Mark a circle on the cardstock that, when cut out, will reveal only a small
portion of the child's face. For instance, draw a circle so that it will reveal one
eye and a nose; or one eye, one cheek, and the corner of the mouth. Cut out
the circles.
4. Under the circle on
each paper, print,
"Who is this?" Attach
the paper with the
circle cutout over the
paper with the
photograph on it. You
can attach it at the
top or the sides. Either
way is fine as long as
the circle shows part
of the child's face and
the top paper can be
lifted up or turned to
reveal the child's
whole face.
5. Create a front and back cover.
6. Bind the pages into a book. If you have a large class, you might want to make
two or three books. Put the book in the library corner to read and enjoy.
More to do Games: Make a guessing game for family members to enjoy. Using the same
method described above, create a large poster with each child's photograph on
it. Cut out a hole on another sheet of poster board so that a small part of each
child's face will be revealed. Line them up carefully since there is more than one
image. Attach the two poster boards together, making sure to leave a way to
flip the top page up or turn it. Invite the children's family members to try to
guess which photo shows which children.
