Instructions

1. During circle time, tell the children they are going to learn more about themselves by making a chart about themselves.

2. Give each child a piece of tagboard.

3. Help them select and write column headings, for example, my body, my family, and so on.

4. Have each child count her body parts: head, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, hands, fingers, legs, feet, and toes.

5. The children write the numbers of each body part on their chart.

6. Ask other questions. "How old are you?" "Do you have any brothers or sisters? Pets?" Write the answers on the chart.

7. When finished, the children have a poster that tells important things about themselves.
