Instructions

1. Cut brown construction paper into pieces approximately 8" x 16". Fold each
one in half.
2. Help each child trace his hand on white construction paper that is cut
slightly smaller than the front of the folded brown construction paper (about
7" square).
3. Glue each handprint to the front flap of the folded brown construction
paper.
4. Open the flap and glue the picture and write the name of the child whose
handprint is on the front inside. Repeat for each child.
5. Do the same steps with the pictures of animal footprints. Glue footprints to
white construction paper, glue to the front of the folded brown paper, and
glue a picture of the animal and its name inside.
6. Staple green bulletin board paper to the bulletin board. Cut brown paper
into a trail and staple it onto the bulletin board, covering some of the green
paper.
7. Cut out a large tree from the brown bulletin board paper and add it to the
bulletin board. Attach green leaves at the top.
8. Staple a large black circle on the tree to make a hole. Add the handprints and
animal footprints at the bottom of the bulletin board trail at the children's
eye level. Add the words "Whose handprints are these?" Glue animal pictures
to the background to make it more creative.
