Instructions
The children can do this activity individually or in a small group. If it is a small
group, have all materials ready and close by you.
2. Show a scene, and as you pick up an animal, ask the children to name it, and
then ask if it would go with the scene. For example, ask the children, "Will the
elephant go into the zoo?"
3. Ask the children where the word "elephant" is and have them place it next to that
animal. Help the children if they have difficulty locating or identifying the word.
Teacher - to - Teacher Tip
* Children love this activity and many like to do this alone or with a partner. This
is a great activity to use when introducing the different animal groups.
