Let's Make a Zoo

Materials

old magazines or catalogs

large piece of tagboard

glue

child-safe scissors

Instructions

1. Put a few drops of blue coloring into pudding or yogurt and talk about
the color. Ask the children what else is blue, and put out different blue
objects for the children to look at and discuss. Serve the blue pudding
or yogurt for snack.
2. On another day, use another color. Talk about the color as they eat their
snack.
3. As the children learn to recognize red, yellow, and blue, use the same
process as above but mix blue and yellow to make green.
Note: Red food coloring added to vanilla pudding or yogurt will turn
the pudding or yogurt pink.
