Cardboard

Two clothespins

Leaves

Crayons with paper removed

Instructions

1. Fasten the paper to thecardboard with clothespinsto hold the paper in place.

2. Invite the children to feelthe raised pattern of veinson the underside of theleaf. Tell them to lay the leafunderside up between thecardboard and the paper.

3. Have the children color theentire sheet of paper, holding their crayon on its side and using broad strokes from top to bottomand left to right.More to doMore art: Make greeting cards with the leaf rubbings.
