Instructions

1. Turn lining up into a language experience with this simple activity.

2. As each child lines up, ask her to say a word relating to a particular category or holiday. For example, winter: snow, boots, snowman, cold, and so on.

3. Other ideas include:* Line up if you have one tooth missing (two, three, and so on).* Line up if you are wearing sneakers (boots, sandals, and so on).* Line up if you have blue eyes (brown, hazel, and so on).* Line up if you have a birthday in January (February, March, and so on).* Line up if you have a "z" in your name (a, b, and so on).* Line up if you are wearing "r-e-d" (spell out a color).
