Instructions
1. Read a book about snow and winter
(see related books list below).
2. Give each child a half sheet of
black construction paper and a
piece of white chalk. Encourage
the children to use the chalk to
"make it snow" on the paper.
3. Provide snowmen or snowflake
stickers, if desired. They can also
use chalk to draw a snowman, tree,
animal, or other outdoor item.
4. This is a great visual for young children.
Instead of the usual dark color on light
paper, they see light color on dark paper.
