One plain white paper towel for each child

Instructions
1. Talk about how we keep our teeth clean and healthy. Ask the children whether they brush at least two to three times a day.
2. Tell the children that they are going to make a giant toothbrush to help remind them to brush every day.
3. Fold each sheet of paper in half lengthwise. Mark off a 3" x 8" (7.
5 cm x 20 cm) area on the lower corner of the paper, away from the fold, and ask the children to cut off the marked area.
4. Open the "toothbrush" and ask the children to lay the paper towel inside, extending one inch (2.
5 cm) beyond the edge of the paper, then glue the paper closed.
5. Let the children fringe the paper towel with scissors to form bristles.
6. Glue a tooth-brushing chart on the front of the toothbrush, so children can mark when they brush.
7. Let the children decorate their tooth brushes.More to doArt: Let the children paint with real toothbrushes.More science: Invite a dentist to visit the class.
